Consultation for Hydrotherapists

Practical Consultation

The objective of consultation is to help hydrotherapists choose goals, suitable techniques, and seek advice about treatment characteristics such as exercises, supports, and other features.

Professional consultation can take place in several ways:

 1.  Individual consultation – A face-to-face meeting with the         hydrotherapist/physiotherapist and the client during the         treatment.  A summary meeting is held with the therapist         following the treatment.

 2.  Group consultation – A meeting with a group of therapists       about a specific client or topic

 3.  Consultation within an activity group – Participation in             the therapy process in a group and consultation regarding       the components of the activity, with emphasis on adapting       treatment to each client within the group framework.

I'm available to therapists after the consultation for email correspondence regarding questions or help in organizing the treatment program.

Organizational or professional consultation for directors of hydrotherapy programs

 1.  Consultation regarding the makeup of the staff

 2.  Organizing treatment programs
